Job Description1) Review Engine Services Cognos 8 projects (architecture, design) and ensure correct design/solution & adherence to standards & best practices 2) Add-value leveraging Patni CDI-BI experience in datawarehouse design, build and deployment 3) Demo Cognos 8 tools to P&L projects, help in choosing right technology 4) Perform dPMM tollgate reviews for functional specs (from data warehouse design perspective), design, code & other artifacts and performance. 5) Improve on documentation strategy and maintain updated documents 6) Define and improve engagement processes (with GE Engine Services teams and processes) 7) Track BI landscape & implement performance and utilization improvements 8) Define process for and initiate Business Objects environment sunsetting 9) Report to GE Managers, Information Delivery Council etc
Skill Required1) Very strong requirement analysis and design skills 2) Very strong Cognos 8 technical & design skills. Certified will be an advantage. 3) Strong knowledge of Informatica 4) Knowledge of Business Objects 5) Strong communication skills 6) Able to work with and build relationship with customer's senior technical experts 7) Able to initiate processes and work independently with Csutomer project delivery teams
