| Job Description | Manage the software and hardware assets from the point that they are procured through it’s end of life
Monitors and records software and/or hardware assets (owned or leased) to ensure compliance with vendor contracts.
Develops and enforces procedures to maintain current and new inventory through day to day business processes.
Leads the process for validation of systematically captured inventory data to ensure accuracy and clarity of the data as well as compliance with negotiated license agreements
Oversees the process for associating linkages between businesses, products, process, applications with their hardware and software.
Identifies metrics and takes action to resolve defects and missing information in the asset management system
Provides reporting for budgetary purposes
Responds to adhoc reporting requests
Performs bulk uploads when needed using Access and MySql
Performs new and refresher training to users of the IT Asset Management System
Maintain Support Central repository of documentation, calendar of events and request workflow.
Work with Gear development team to define/document business requirements for enhancements to the asset management system
Work with Gear development team through the design/testing of enhancements/fixes for asset management
Work with Gear development manager to manage the production change control board of asset management users and ensure that users have approved high impact changes
